Sending E-mail can be a problem for end users if they don't know how to set up their DropSite. Providing a mail server and POP authentication will usually cure the problem. If all else fails your user can always turn off the option to send mail. You should always run the pre-flight check before saving a DropSite.
The two most common problems with FTP are 1) permission settings and 2) file names. If you get errors like "Permission Denied" when delivering files you should check the owner of the directory and the write permission on the FTP server. To deliver files either the UserID has to match the owner of the directory or it must be in the same group as the owner of the directory and the directory permissions must include group-write.
Watch out for files with "slashes". These characters can goof up some FTP servers because they assume the slash designates a directory.
Errors on OS X can sometimes happen because a file or set of files you are trying to archive before delivery are in a directory that you don't have write access too. The temporary file that the StuffIt Engine creates is in the same folder. You might need to move those files to a new folder before you can send them.
